I was wrong: X doesn't hang up when slideshow is launched (alt-tab runs
ok when the issue happens and I have also found a way to open gnome menu
and so also a console), but it shows a grey screen with a blank
rectangle on the left-top. Pratically when I launch slideshow the
selected photo is not

made some tests and it seems that on latest release 2.26.x the bug
disappeared. No solution for the version in Hardy.

After having imported an mpeg movie of about 1GB I cannot play the video with
the video button.

Matthias I sent the messages that appear in console when I launch firefox (and
the applet) with the command you sayd. In the launching applet.txt file I
posted the messages that appear when I launch the applet. After the applet was
launched I see and error (unable to update device list) and
