Evolution stops displaying messages preview after few minutes of usage.
On evolution restart it displayes preview for short time and again stops
preview. The preview panel becomes blank.

On Ubuntu 10.04.1 is was not switching even after installing
usb_modeswitch. I checked using command lsusb
I use the following command, and it is switching after using the command
given below:
sudo usb_modeswitch -c /etc/usb_modeswitch.d/12d1:1446
It worked for me after using this command.
I bought an Acer Aspire 4740 with Intel Core i3 processor, I am facing
the same problem.
Any ideas?

I installed it and after that gdesklets work fine.
