uninstall open-vm-tools with command "apt-get purge open-vm-tools". So the

1) I hit this issue in ubuntu 19.04 with traditional installer but not the new
installer "subiquity".
2) I did not hit such issue in ubuntu 19.10 server daily build Aug/28/2019
Beside, It doesn't hit this issue with new installer "subiquity".
So close this issue.

From vware dev's confirmation:
The four shell script files and the main library file were properly installed
(as expected). Also, after the purge/remove, the files were properly deleted.
This is working from a packaging perspective.

It's because VMs on vmfs5 datastore doesn't support trim/unmap command.
it won't hit this issue with vmfs6
