with the latest kernel update win 7
OK now I know what caused the Problem. It is not the host. It is
Kaspersky that is installed on the guest, and some databaseupdate lets
the system freeze.

Title:
with the latest kernel update win 7 guest freezes randomly
To manage notifications about
I cannot build the virtuabox-dkms 4.1.12 module with the latest kernel.
Log is attached. What i figured out is that when I disable the
VT-x/AMD-V Acceleration for the guest it doesn't freeze anymore. So I
wonder if this is a kernel bug or Virtualbox bug?

If you could also please test the latest upstream kernel available that
would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine
the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds .
Please test http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-
ppa/mainline/v3.5-rc7-quantal/ . Once
I tested with this kernel: (3.5.0-999.201207230434)
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/daily/current/
and this one: (3.5.0-030500rc7.201207142035)
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.5-rc7-quantal/
with neither of them I was able to build the virtualbox-dkms-module.

Hi Christopher,
in installed the latest Virtualbox (4.1.18) from the ppa. Now I'm able
to compile the dkms-modul but the bug still exists. With activated
VT-x/AMD-V the system freezes with all the kernels I tested

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v3.5kernel[0] (Not a kernel in the daily directory) and install both the
linux-image and linux-image-extra .deb packages.
