Just to clarify that an older bug is not necessarily always the master
bug, but in this case this bug has a patch so it is better to use this
bug as the base for duplicate bugs. Thanks.

I have also Google Apps with Gmail set in French and the icon doesn’t
show the number of unread messages. I have the latest version of the
package (2.4.7) although.
