[Lenovo x131e] - Brightness applet toggles, Actual screen brightness
does not.
After testing with the latest raring kernel linux-
image-3.8.0-030800rc2-generic_3.8.0-030800rc2.201301022235_amd64 and
now the brightness buttons produce absolutely nothing when invoked.
Either hot key now does absolutely nothing.

kernel[0] (Not a kernel in the daily directory) and install both the
