Although I have questions, this ticket shouldn't be expired because we
do know what the cause is (http://redmine.yorba.org/issues/6316). My
question only was to further my understanding what could cause this
situation.

Hi James,
could you spend some minutes to provide the information that Jim needs
for his work.
In meantime I set the status of the report to incomplete(preventing
bugtracker swamping - more than 1000 repports for raring).
When you can get it managed please feel free to set the status of the

Thanks for reporting this. This is due to a current limitation in
Geary's IMAP implementation.
It would be a great help to us if you could tell us what IMAP server
you're connecting to (Gmail, Yahoo!, Dovecot, etc.) If it's a private
server, it would also help if you could tell us its version
