You are right, FWIW in Arch Linux there is the kdepim-libkdepim[1] which
includes that library and 20 other libs, which is required by all kdepim
packages.

Affects me to. I don't use kmail but I'm using akregator. In Ubuntu Saucy it is
impossible
to install akregator without installing kmail.
