Public bug reported: I'm using Ubuntu 13.10 dev with shared-mime-info 1.1-0ubuntu4. For a few days after upgrading the system I have noticed that python-files aren't shown as executable files anymore. I have already opened a bug report on upstream for this: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68494 But I'm not sure if this is really a bug in shared-mime-info because after downgrading shared-mime-info, PCManFM and libfm to the versions from Ubuntu 13.04 (libfm-data, libfm-gtk-bin, libfm-gtk-data, libfm-gtk3, libfm3, pcmanfm, shared-mime-info) and rebooting the system the problem still exists.
