Your patch alters debian/patches/oolite.desktop...
Also modifying oolite-1.65/debian/oolite.install wasn't necessary, since
there is a dh_installdekstop line in the debian/rules file.
Err, sorry, the install was necessary ... apparently dh_desktop does not
*yet* support installation of files.
