Summary: Upon Downloading Google Chrome browser, and installing it, leads to Ubuntu software facilitating in installing the software, which upon clicking the install button leads to nothing? Reason for this issue: Ref to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ZestyZapus/ReleaseNotes under title Ubuntu Desktop. Due to the above reason, if you try to install using non-interactive method, using CLI (console/terminal), you will receive the following error message. Error Message: $ sudo dpkg -i *.deb Selecting previously unselected package google-chrome-stable. (Reading database ... 207200 files and directories currently installed.) Why is Ubuntu software so dumb.
