I was experiencing this instability before.
Someone found that it was related to Oracle Java. I removed it and
reinstalled OpenJDK.
With that, it got more reliable.

It started this week. I was with Writer opened.
Until now I can see two different behaviors.
Sometimes libreoffice crashes and reopen asking to recover my files.
Other times, my computer freezes completely. Sometimes I could restart
with CTRL+ALT+DEL, others I need to hard reset.
I'll continue
Thanks for the report João. Does that happen frequently? With all
libreoffice applications? Does it recover after freezing, or does it
close/crash (might be related to bug #1706605) ?
