Hmmm ... I'm curious as to why Eclipse needs access to .mozilla. Oh
well.
Anyway, I had the same issue installing 3.3 manually (not from the
package), and used the same solution. I did not have the problem under
Gutsy.

I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) and just installed Eclipse 3.3.
I've gotten this message while using eclipse twice so far today. I
tried the workaround by creating the eclipse directory, but it's still
appearing. Here's what I did:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ mkdir /home/thomass/.mozilla/eclipse
No need to confirm it hundred of times...

This error crops up when you launch Lotus Notes 8.0.1 (which is built on
Eclipse). Creating the $home/.mozilla/eclipse directory fixed it.

I had the same issue. Manually creating the eclipse directory under
~/.mozilla helped resoved it.

I had the same error, after the installation of hardy, but in my case it
was to reuse the previous installation of eclipse not made by deb
packages but using the package directly to the producer.
In essence, run the executable eclipse does not create automatically
~ / .mozilla / Eclipse

This also happened for me each time I exited Rssowl using openjdk-6 in Hardy.
Creating the ~/.mozilla/eclipse fixed the error.

I can also confirm this behavior on Hardy (updated on 03March-2008).
Eclipse will display the error message until the directory is created.

I have experienced the same message popping up while eclipse (europa) and
firefox (2.0.0.11) running on gutsy gibbon.
The message popped up 2-3 times during the day.
I have created the above directory and have not had the problem since...
I noticed there is a new file in this directory
