Title:
virtualbox-dkms
I just received update and virtualbox started working! Thanks if someone
did something.
But I don't understand how the update system works. Since nothing changed in
all the sources I know:
1. https://packages.ubuntu.com/focal/virtualbox shows the same stuff.
2.
It is because virtualbox versions <6.1.18 do not support kernel 5.11

VirtualBox 6.1.20 (released April 20 2021)

For anyone who sees this, it is a RAM issue. For me, like others here,
the hardware is the cause.
Lack of RAM. I installed another 16 GB and my RAM usage went away.
Freezes and random crashes stopped. The lack of RAM will also cause

virtual machine.
My Linux system is 5.11.0-27-generic #29~20.04.1-Ubuntu.
Is this fault because a new Linux kernel has been released but

Same error for me. Attached txt. How to fix it?
Similar issue was few months ago with virtualbox, but it affected more people
and was fixed faster. What is the cause this does not effect everybody? What
could be workaround?
** Attachment added: "make log.txt"
Did not use Virtual Box in the 2 months before or after the upgrade.
Probably not related, but mention it as @Michaelainsworth also mentioned it: Do
have some issue with my laptop turning off at unexpected moments (i.e. not
battery related), which I believe has to do with a larger hybrid HDD
Yes, this impacts me as well. I was using VirtualBox at the time. It may
be unrelated, by computer has been freezing/crashing regularly since I
bought it 9 months ago.

absolutely not a "fresh install"
Also, I wasn't using VirtualBox at all since my last reboot.
