It makes sense: this machine has been only (dist-)upgraded from Hoary
Hedgehog onwards and I may not have used this tool in Gutsy (or
something else prevented it to fail instead).
Does it make sense to fix it in postinst?

It happens all the time, when I run displayconfig from the command line (just
tested it for another bug).
Apparently, there are a stale .pyc files left in
/usr/share/python-support/kde-guidance, e.g.:
$ ll /usr/share/python-support/kde-guidance/xorgconfig.pyc
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 26435
