On 64 bits machine though now a flash rendering module from Adobe is
available and works with Firefox it does not with Konqueror ; is it a
bug or is this module entirely not compatible with Konqueror due to
difference in navigator engines.
If not at this stage what is the best proposal regarding

backports.

I guess the first step is to just build the dbgsym package for it, it
looks like that should be as easy as installing the pkg-create-dbgsym
package and rebuilding the KDE4 konqueror package.
I'll give it a go.

Just to confirm that this affects my AMD64 Kubuntu 08.04 system as well.
I was hoping to start using KDE4 more seriously but that's really out of
the question until this is solved. :-(
Is there anything I can do to help with this ?

Chris Samuel : If you are good at debugging KDE, you can try to produce
good backtrace but we saw that KDE4 konqueror does not have dbgsym
packages and we don't know how to do this. Other than that, I think that
only developers can fix this, in case you have some knowledge about
this.
