The Intrepid Ibex 8.10 Beta release was most recently announced -

Ubuntu kernel. It would be great if you could test and verify if this is
still an issue. The status is being set to Incomplete until we receive
further feedback.
The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the
upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would
appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel.

I blacklisted orinoco_cs and hostap_cs. That removed the Fatal error
messages in the suspend log. However it appears that wasn't the problem.
Resume still didn't work.

What happens when you add the text 'blacklist hostap_cs' at the end of the file
/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist ? Please do so, reboot your computer and try to
suspend afterwards. Please tell if it works.

I did what you suggested. Unfortunately, it didn't work. I had network
problems like you said. I went into suspend, and resumed. Same outcome.
I checked my log files. Instead of hostap_cs causing the error, another
module just took its place.
