hi, I've encountered something similar on my athlon64 x2 box: localedef would crash my box when installing. This happened on a clean install of 6.04 64-bit and later during an upgrade to 7.04. The locales causing the crash are hebrew UTF-8. As a workaround, I booted with a Fedora 6 install dvd
