Given the lack of movement from Debian, perhaps it's not worth waiting
for them?
There are of course a great deal more people affected here than just
those who've noticed the bug and subscribed to it.

user actually downloading from same host if a load balancing proxy is
not installed. I think Sharma's way is better.
