As Francis noted, it is more likely that this is a problem with xserver and not the font. Perhaps the bug could be moved/reassigned? Here is some more info about which xserver I am running: $ X -version This is a pre-release version of the X server from The X.Org Foundation. It is not supported

G'day, I have also seen this problem, but is appears to be a problem with the xserver rather than the font. It is not getting triggered on other machines I have running Hardy. Can you also report which xserver is being used? -- Error getting font attributes, perhaps?
