consider update this bug as 'Fix Released', else, can you please, fill a little

Please also note that resume issues are commonly hardware dependant, so
please, all reporters to ensure they have same motherboard (at least)
than original one.
In other case, I'd encourage to open a new one.

This is unlikely to be a gnome-power-manager issue. Could you please run
dmesg dmesg.log after an attempt to resume, and then attach it to
this bug report, as it might give an idea what the problem is.
The chances are that the UUID for your swap partition changed at some
point since your initial

May I point out that hibernate / thaw *does* work when I choose to do so
manually. It is only when gnome-power-manager instigates the hibernation
that thaw isn't executed.
This is pretty much a fresh install of Ubuntu 8.10 and the swap
partition hasn't
