Public bug reported: I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 (upgraded from 8.04) on a Lenovo T60. Since the upgrade to 8.10, most of the time when I close the lid with a wireless connection running, the wireless connection is lost. When I re-open the lid, Ubuntu again shows me the wireless configuration dialog it also shows when first establishing the connection.
I have tested this on two WPA-protected WLAN networks. If I don't close the lid, the connection is stable for hours. With one of the networks, I could only re-establish the connection after power-cycling the router (?!). I have replicated this several times. The problem did not occur with 8.04. Ubuntu is set to "do nothing" when the lid is closed on AC power. Output of lspci -vv and lspci -vvn in attachment. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Wireless connection lost when lid is closed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/307087 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
