Pedro, there is no System - Preferences menu in Natty so I'm transposing the initial example to System Settings Control Center. The situation is the same in Natty. Most applications exit with ESC, for example; About Me, Appearance, Assistive Technology, Broadcast Accounts, Broadcast Preferences.

I want to note that the standard key combination to close a window is Ctrl+W for multi-window applications, and Ctrl+Q for singular windows. Unfortunately gnome-control-center obeys neither (nor does gnome-power- prefs), so maybe that should be fixed too/first. -- Power Manager is the only
