This is not yet fixed in either karmic (3.2.6.0+dfsg-6) nor lucid
(3.2.6.1+dfsg1-5).
It is fixed upstream in Debian 3.2.6.1+dfsg1-6.
The problem is caused by a Bashism in
/var/lib/dpkg/info/rocksndiamonds.postinst:
