Latest and greatest: installed Puppy Linux on the old laptop at some point in the past, worked fine. Put it in the closet and forgot about it. Pulled it out today and ran Xubuntu 9.10 RC from the cd, then chose the install option. Every thing worked fine. Install went fine, no problems,
