I've tested it with the latest lucid version; it still doesn't work. I
don't know what you mean by testing the late latest kernel version; I
certainly can't compile my own kernel and run it. Anyway, when I tried
to resume, it didn't generate any error logs, though (perhaps because

Hi,
Not yet really.
We have to ensure (following triaging rules wiki) that late latest
kernel version is tested and reported.
Please, can anybody test latest Lucid version? http://cdimage.ubuntu.com

I had the same experience as Ipearce, didn't get an error log. The first
suspend test failed (see below) and the second test suspended but never
resumed. If there are more test or other things to try let me know, I'd
like to help with this issue.
Script output:

Hi Pepe-
I ran the test you recommended; it didn't give me an error log that I could
find, but here's what happened:
The first test (suspend) failed (that is, the machine didn't suspend and it
moved on to the second test)
For the second test, it suspended, but never resumed. After waiting

I just did a fresh install of 9.10 on my Gateway MT3707. Then ran the update
manager and updated to the latest as of 01/21/10.
I still see the same problem as before, suspends OK then tries to resume but
does not completely resume. The systems acts likes it's going to resume but the

This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try
with the latest Karmic 9.10 release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are

If the issue remains, could you run
Hi Pepe-
The problem is still around; since no one was looking here I started a new bug
when version 9 came out (and also since my errors weren't *exactly* the same as
Michael's. That bug is #465839; all the files directly related to the suspend
crash are over there. I ran your command too; I
Similar problem on Gateway E-295C. Seems to suspend correctly, but
won't resume. I can't find any errors from suspending. I tried editing
the ACPI files to enable the various hacks; none of them worked. Tried
using s2ram, using all the combinations of flags listed here:
