as won't fix.

I disagree.
Whether /upgrade screen irssi worked because of a bug or because of a
feature is by the by. The crucial point is that it worked. And now it
doesn't work.
I understand the bug you are referring to is that if you ran /upgrade
but typoed the shell command, then obviously the shell
It also affects Hardy and Intrepid too. I think Gutsy is the last
version that worked.
