As I see it it's simple: do people like or dislike rooms full of
annoying random beeping all around?
Because this is how many classrooms where people recently switched to
linux look like; Also some work offices.
Sure it's their fault for not disabling that, but not make life of
users easier?
*sigh* This is not a bug at all, and many of us like this feature, some
of us do not have speakers.
And just because it appears on Lifehacker as a tweak, does not mean that
it is a bug :)

How do you decide if this is a bug or a feature?
It seems most new users do not like this sound, just do not know how to
turn it off.
