ubuntu: 10.04 32bit
I am trying to connect to tightvnc server and all I get is connection
closed alert.
$ vinagre --gtk-vnc-debug myTightVncServerIP
gtk-vnc: Expose 0x0 @ 289,372
gtk-vnc: Started background coroutine
gtk-vnc: Resolving host
Looking at the bug's history this keeps on repeting. I've installed
libgtk-vnc-1.0-0_0.3.10-6_i386 with no improvement.

I have the same problem. Here is the output of the terminal:
e...@oosttop:~$ vinagre --gtk-vnc-debug 192.168.1.55

Thank you for your bug report. The issue is an upstream one and it would
be nice if somebody having it could send the bug the to the people
writting the software (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME)

Please, run vinagre in a terminal with the command:
vinagre --gtk-vnc-debug IP_OR_NAME_OF_THE_MACHINE
and paste here the output of the terminal.
