In the more current ubiquity we have the prepare page which warns about available disk-space. Of course that does not guarantee that side-by- side install will be available, but the title should be correct: this computer has Windows on it, what do you want to do?. Is this sufficient? -- You

Evan Dandrea is working on replacing Install Ubuntu alongside Windows with Install Ubuntu inside Windows that would restart the computer into Wubi I thought release upgrades in Wubi systems were still known to be unreliable, and it wasn't recommended as a permanent Ubuntu install approach.
