The problem persists after a clean installation of Lucid 64-bit. It is
extremely annoying and disrupting. It seems related to high network
loads but it is difficult to say for sure. Things like using
Transmission are completely impossible right now.

I am still having this problem using Beta 2. I was having the same
problem with Karmic so maybe it is not a regression after all. This is
in a Macbook Pro 5,3.

I should mention that the audit messages I get about firefox are not
causing this problem as I get the problem in Thunderbird too. I also
have disabled the Apparmor profile for Firefox, but the problem persist.
(of the timeouts, not the audits of course)
