[Bug 538427] Re: indicator-applet forgets blacklist for messaging menu after restart

2012-09-02 Thread Lars Uebernickel
I'm pretty sure the issues relating to the blacklist were fixed in Precise. For Quantal, the messaging menu doesn't have a blacklist at all anymore, because it doesn't display any applications by default. Feel free to reopen if this still effects you. ** Changed in: indicator-messages

Looks like it's been awhile since this bug was triaged. Is this behavior still happening in 12.04? ** Changed in: indicator-messages Status: Triaged = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu.

Here's a workaround that seems to work for me. Use at your own risk. Add this to the bottom of your .gnomerc: [ -n $GNOMERC_LOADED ] return GNOMERC_LOADED=1 (( TIMEOUT=10 IS_XSESSION=`echo $0 | grep -c Xsession`

Confirming. The original report is very precise and can be easily reproduced in my Lucid install. The only way to get rid of Evolution for good in the messaging menu is to delete the evolution file from /usr/share/indicators/messages/applications/. ** Changed in: indicator-applet (Ubuntu)
