Public bug reported:

My virtual terminals [strg-alt-1 - 6) get flooded with messages like this (from
dmsg):
[ 1317.048110] hub 2-0:1.0: over-current change on port 2
[ 1319.280139] hub 2-0:1.0: over-current change on port 2
[ 1319.528087] hub 2-0:1.0: over-current change on port 2
[ 1322.548043] hub 2-0:1.0: over-current change on port 2
[ 1324.240096] hub 2-0:1.0: over-current change on port 2
[ 1324.488072] hub 2-0:1.0: over-current change on port 2
[ 1324.736076] hub 2-0:1.0: over-current change on port 2
[ 1324.984078] hub 2-0:1.0: over-current change on port 2
[ 1325.728107] hub 2-0:1.0: over-current change on port 2

This has not happened before lucid. It may be related to:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hal/+bug/217676
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/39449
or https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=124114

but strangly it even appears if no usb device is connected to my laptop.

Im using a Thinkpad R52.
