Erratum : issue is finally fixed for me, with patch #7, thanks @Virgil Brummond
The crashes I still have are linked to another issue, but no more pulseaudio.

Same here... it's making my whole system unstable. Once the sound
starts having trouble, it bogs down the whole PC.

Anyone who is having problems with the audio making your system unusable
for now enable glitch free temporarily (at least until this issue is
resolved). To do so:
1. Press alt+f2 type: gksudo gedit /etc/pulse/default.pa
2. Find the line that says load-module module-udev-detect
3. Change that line

I found a solution. It is the glitch free audio again. If I append
tsched=0 to the line: load-module module-udev-detect in
/etc/pulse/default.pa the audio/video work correctly. Here are some logs
that may be relevant.
