On last october I upgrade my installation to Ubuntu 11.10 and since then
I've got no freeze at all. Some week before the upgrade I've been
installed 4 GB on my Dell, substituting the old ones, and (as I write at
that time) I experimented only one freeze. So now things are going well,
I'm able to

Sadly in my case the error didn't go.
Yersterday morning my laptopo freezed soon after it was started, and then,
after an hard reboot, worked fine all the day without problem.
Two days ago I experimented several freezed during the day.

i got the same problem here with a latitude d520. i used ubuntu 10.10,
10.04 before on the same machine and all worked fine without the
freezes.

As an additional information, yesterday I switched from Gnome to Unity (freeze
after 10 minutes of usage), but today, after 1,5 days, My laptopo freezed twice.
