Bugs,
just installed kolourpaint, dragged its icon from dash to launcher then started
it and it worked fine for me, Can you please confirm if thats still an issue
for you?
PS: I use Ubuntu 12.04 precise.

Re-tested in 11.10 with the same result (no icon). This happens also
with another KDE-app, Kompozer, or maybe with all KDE-apps.

Which version of Ubuntu are you using? Is that still an issue with
