At least here on a 12/31 image the upgrades today to *aptdaemon* -
0.43+bzr756-0ubuntu1/ *dbus * - 1.4.16-1ubuntu2, ect. have seemingly
fixed S-C
It now opens fairly quickly, more importantly installs/removes
packages with no issues or hangs. Tried multiple times.

I get this even with the latest updates. But the Software Center window
does not close and I can use the Software Center just fine. But the
error keeps popping up still.

notice that the backgound of the bug and the modules implicated are way
different. In mine, it start with a proxy ploblem, and some other it's a
database that is corrupted.

I am able to open the Software Center just fine, but I cannot
