Just tried in 12.04 beta and still nothing happens when clicking the
calibrate button. The user has to know to install gnome-color-manager.

Here is terminal feedback sans the backtrace:

I have the same problem.
I can add that after the assertion error there also is an error from glibc.

I can make the Calibrate button do something, by installing gnome-color-
manager through Software Centre (search for Color Calibration), however
the process does not complete.
Once gnome-color-manager is installed, clicking Calibrate takes me
through a series of dialogues, ending with a
