Sorry I haven't had time for this as this occurs on my work computer. I
quickly tested the problem again and it seems that it is fixed by some
kernel update. For 3.0.0-13-generic the hibernate seems to work now.

Oh, I forgot to mention that hibernate worked ok before Oneiric (in
Natty), even though it printed the same ata7.01 failed to resume link
(SControl0) stuff when hibernating.
