Public bug reported: I have some Logitech S-150 USB Speakers which would correctly connect to the system (lights turn on), but when trying to play sounds will turn off producing a bunch of errors in syslog (see below)
According to some sources this might be a hardware problem, but the speakers work correctly both in Windows and in Fedora 16 (tested on kernel 3.1.0 and 3.1.2) this is syslog from plugging in until a sound is played: Dec 9 18:52:42 blackbeauty kernel: [ 7952.957966] usb 2-1.3: new full speed USB device number 14 using ehci_hcd Dec 9 18:52:42 blackbeauty mtp-probe: checking bus 2, device 14: "/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.0/usb2/2-1/2-1.3" Dec 9 18:52:42 blackbeauty mtp-probe: bus: 2, device: 14 was not an MTP device Dec 9 18:52:42 blackbeauty kernel: [ 7953.053816] input: USB AUDIO as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.0/usb2/2-1/2-1.3/2-1.3:1.2/input/input10 Dec 9 18:52:42 blackbeauty kernel: [ 7953.053958] generic-usb 0003:1130:1620.0003: input,hidraw0: USB HID v1.10 Device [USB AUDIO ] on usb-0000:00:1d.0-1.3/input2 Dec 9 17:52:42 blackbeauty rtkit-daemon[1986]: Successfully made thread 11456 of process 1984 (n/a) owned by '1000' RT at priority 5.
