Public bug reported: The NB100 came pre-installed with ubuntu and is an ubuntu certified netbook, but it does not work properly with ubuntu 11.10 i386. To load the live cd "acpi=off" needs to be added to the boot options and grub default command once setup for it to load.
The wifi card is recognised by lspci (see below) but the network- manager (network selector icon) does not display any wireless networks. 02:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR242x / AR542x Wireless Network Adapter (PCI-Express) (rev 01) I've plugged in a wifi dongle and updated to the latest kernel (3.0.0-14) and run jockey to search for restricted drivers but neither fixed the problem. The battery icon is also missing although this has already been reported somewhere on the internet.
