I changed the title to reflect the fact that all Precise non-pae min.iso installations (regardless of DE) and upgrades from either Lucid or Oneiric also install the current version of 'linux-headers generic-pae' even though 'non-pae' is in use. I'm also sticking my neck out and subscribing
