I recently tried to launch eclipse 3.3 version for motif and it crashed

directory i have two folders that have mp3 files and easytag doesn't
show them. Seem that mp3 support is the one that is missing. because
with other audio files such as: ogg, flac
in this screenshot easytag only shows the ogg, flac and mpc files. take
a look at the location of the files. the next screenshot show the same
location and a lot of mp3 files but no one of the is shown in easytag.

Argh, sorry for this. I fixed it already in Feisty, someone synced the
package without checking the diff, and I re-fixed it in gutsy a while
ago. It is sufficient to remove src/pynotify.c in debian/rules before
build, so that it gets regenerated properly.

I'm skeptical. I have a Dell 1420 for which the touchpad works just
fine, for both Feisty and Gutsy. This is one of the Ubuntu certified
Dell platforms. I find it hard to believe that no one else has reported
a problem like this.

I have a brand new 1420N I received on Wednesday 8/1.
While the touch pad works for pointing and double tapping, there is no
scrolling.

This is an alps pad rather than a synaptics one - nevertheless, the
issue is that the kernel doesn't recognise the latest generation alps
pads. Relevant code is drivers/input/mouse/alps.c (which gets built into
the psmouse module). Since it's not being recognised it's falling back
to ps/2
Just to clarify - even though it's an alps pad, the kernel exposes the
same information to userspace as it does with a synaptics pad. So
xserver-xorg-input-synaptics is the correct driver for the userspace
side. In this case it's clearly a kernel issue, though.

The touchpad works fine for the most part.

I believe that much of the problem is that Totem now uses the gstreamer
0.10 backend. Unencrypted DVD playback was supported by the 0.8 backend,
but it may not be supported in 0.10 because the developers of gstreamer
(Fluendo) are under an NDA, and so can't work on DVD support themselves.

with other apps and had to tell it which window to open up in. I take it
you extended your desktop, as this is what I had done previously when

OK, this isn't a bug really. What you have to do is go into Yakuake by
hitting that middle down arrow on the right hand side and go into the
configuration. Set Yakuake to open on the screen you wish. Thanks.

Hmmm, I have to boot over and over again to get the keyboard operating
long enough in grub to actually scroll down and select a previous
kernel. The keyboard does operate in bios until it loads grub. When I
finally use grub to load 2.6.17.11 (instead of 2.6.20.16) it freezes
before I can hit
