usability bug. During a black screen there should be some feedback as to
what the viewer is currently experiencing while it tries to connect.
Full screen mode is so big that is cuts off the bottom panel btw

As a workaround install eclipse plugins with
sudo
Then the standard update sites are available. And at least installation

Ekiga 3.2.6 was released with the latest Gnome release. It fix numerous
issues. Would you be kind enough to give it a try?

Ekiga stop working and turning off when being called from netmeeting
This was caused having an unclean version of mtools accidently
overriding the system one in /usr/local/bin. Marking invalid. Sorry
about the noise.

That's odd...maybe the unneeded linuxant driver is now conflicting with
it.
Could you remove it with dpkg -P dgcmodem and reboot with the modem
plugged in?

Actually, they say to remove it with: sudo dgcconfig --uninstall, so
try that first and then do the dpkg -P dgcmodem

Upgraded to ubuntu version of firefox 3.5.5 today. Same sigsegv

kubuntu karmic: firefox segfault in xmlio
I have a problem and wonder if it has something in common with this bug.
I have had karmic-purposed sources on and after one of the last updates
Xorg keeps sending me to a failsafe-session instead of starting up
properly. I hardly understand whats the problem, because restarting kdm
results in X
