I can confirm this Corrupted MAC on input bug on i386 desktop version
of Ubuntu 9.10 karmic. Silent file corruption also happens when
downloading files using HTTP or FTP protocols. This bug is easily
reproducible.
The computer on which this bug manifests itself is an Asus Eee PC 1000HE
with 2 GB
Ok, it looks like you do not have full permissions to the files and
directories within the directories in the trash. This is why it fails
when you attempt to empty the trash.
First, change all the files within your trash to be owned by you:
sudo chown -R stevew.stevew ~/.local/share/Trash/files

I was unable to recreate this in 9.04. However, I was able to add

The logon screen defaults to US English for every additional user.
Just need to change that one time.
However as the global setting at software install was UK English it
should remain so for all users unless specifically requested within that
users settings

This is almost certainly a video driver problem. I had the same problem

i think i have stumbled upon a fix to the issue, looking at the logs it looks
like it suspends fine but resumes with a blank screen. This is a bug in Xorg
and to resolve it u need to get jaunty versions of the packages
xserver-xorg-video-ati and xserver-xorg-video-radeon. Install them using

OK, I tried a third time from a clean install and the same problem
occured. 14 in the Ubuntu One folder and only 7 get synced.
PS. I wanted to add this to the other bug report, but LP didn't find the
bug although I used the exact same
