Hi,
there was no new line in the terminal I ran gnome-do from, but the
terminal prompt did not return. So gnome-do remained alive but
unresponsive, i.e. couldn't be summoned. Ctrl+C or killing it was the
only thing left to do, so it seemed.
Thanks for your interest in this bug!

CUPS web interface
Public bug reported:
When the launcher autohides it leaves behind a stripe which obscures the
upper left portion of any open window. Sometimes the stripe splits in
two vertically when you move a window to the very far left or past the
left edge of the screen.
This is 13.04 development release
After switching to Ubuntu 12.04 I use Vlc only with ALSA, so this bug is
not affecting me any more. Thus, I changed the status to Invalid.
** Changed in: pulseaudio (Ubuntu)
Status: Confirmed = Invalid

Same problem here with a Lenovo W500. I'm not using whole disc
encryption however (but use an encrypted /home). I have tried the Boot
options instructions but the screen goes to black before anything
meaningful is written (also it gets black quite quickly).
