off Wifi.
Then I enabled wifi again, and the file was there (no clue if it had
been already downloaded or if finished there). It now won't install,

I was referring to the controls for vibration under sounds in system
settings, but the model is quite inconsistent with the other
notifications as you point out. There is no way to turn on/ff the
bubbles or disable sound entirely outside of silent mode.

nvidia-364 driver (tough its the same on all versions I tried).
I can boot with fail safe graphics mode, but not normally.

sudo apt install gnome-boxes
Create 2 Virtual Machines ("boxes"), one for 2 different Ubuntu flavors
Power off all Virtual Machines and close the app
Open the Boxes app
What Happens
After a few seconds, all the boxes start. They'll keep running even when the
