Using fwupd from snap doesn't sound like a solution, more of a manual
workaround.
People out there won't notice fwupd silently fails to update their
firmware (currently it says "Not compatible with org.freedesktop.fwupd

i manage to install Ubuntu Noble 24.04, by using ISO image of today
9-3-2024.
The workaround to avoid the below error is to rename the file :
ubuntu.sources into ubuntu.sources.old

when I logged in via ssh. I'm doing do-release-upgrade. It tried to
migrate chromium to snap but couldn't contact the snap store. It seemed
like some DNS resolution was broken (pinging anything gave
fwupd GitHub page states: "Installing fwupd using Snap or using Flatpak
might be useful to update a specific device on the command line that
needs a bleeding edge fwupd version, but it should not be considered as
a replacement to the distro-provided system version."

Z20t I have and thought I'd put in some recent findings that might help

Z20t-B and z20t-C models seem affected the same, with Ubuntu and Arch

I forgot one thing. Before I did the release upgrade, I also stopped all
of the services that I disabled with the following one liner:
sudo systemctl stop cron \
sudo systemctl stop amavis \

sudo
Finally after hitting Cancel on the "Open a browser in terminal" option
(since I already filed the bug report in my desktop browser), I get the
following message/errors:
The upgrade has aborted. Your system could be in an unusable state. A
recovery will run now (dpkg --configure -a).

Not sure why apache2 is getting installed on a LEMP server by default
when Nginx is already installed. Can anyone explain this?

It seems like the Avahi daemon on your Ubuntu machines is encountering a
hostname conflict during the nightly IP address change, resulting in it
appending a number to the hostname. This conflict might be due to multiple
