that's known to still be an issue. It's why block copy is disabled in
2.2.1. This is only an issue for the Jammy HWE, which has 2.2.0. No one

ruby-defaults/1:3.2~ubuntu1 is now in the release pocket (the default is
ruby3.2) and ruby3.1 (source and binaries) should be removed from Noble.
There is no package depending on it in Noble at the moment:
$ reverse-depends -r noble src:ruby3.1
$ reverse-depends -r noble
It happens about every other shutdown/reboot. I'm having occasional
problems with suspend as well, which works fine 50% of the time or else
freezes.

Agreed with Christian's suggested changes to fix in noble, and worth
prioritizing for getting in before final freeze.
It sounds like an SRU at least for mantic would be appropriate, however
I wonder if the fix should be limited to just what is directly
reproducible for this specific issue. But
The previous comment confirmed the package in -proposed works, but
didn't flip the verification tag.
I also performed a quick verification (thanks for the test plan), and it
