When hibernating my sony VGN-BX196VP the laptop won't turn off after a
lot of hard drive activity. I have to press the power button a few
seconds to shut the computer down.
Resuming just gives a normal boot. This is with jaunty upgraded until 27
feb 2009.

With the kernel build from linux-2.6.27-13.29 source on a 64bit 8.10
system virtual terminals (e.g., vt1) are gone again. The screen is just
blank. The problem is not present with linux-2.6.27-12 and the same
video driver (NVIDIA 180.35).

I concur. This needs to be rebuilt against Python 2.6, which might
require adjusting debian/control dependencies as well.
